It's interesting; I suspect the the same brain regions may be active for PK, & other psi skills. As someone who can also have an OBE at will; I agree with much of what is said. Though, I would say that the experience is more than a hallucinatory shift in attention. Since I had developed psychokinesis, ahead of OBE skill, I noticed that I can effect objects & people while out of body. I can even do this backward & forward in time. For example if, I watch a prerecorded video, I can effect people & objects in the video, regardless of the video's age. I even have videos of people noticing my presence in the room. Also, I don't have to fully leave the physical body either. This is why I started this thread, because I notice that psi skills seem to me to be the same skill on a scale relative to attention & awareness. Psychokinesis, & telepathy, both seem like an OBE to me, without a full exit:)

I am doing some interesting experiments with a close friend who is quadriplegic, but who is almost as skilled as me with OBE's & PK. He like me is able to consciously exit the body from the waking state, & manifest a healthy four limbed energy body, & experience pleasure of movement again. My energy body has a much higher density, which I attribute to more time in practice.

I suspect that my etheric form, like the construct/tulpas, I make, may have a measurable tangibility as a kind of plasmic matter. I haven't perfected my concentration yet, I can see that one day I will be able to materialize solid matter from thin air.

Anyway, it's nice to see the phenomenon being studied, even with the qualifiers, & lack of cross disciplinary sharing of info:)

Almost certainly one doesn't need a body to do pk. There are spirits that do so pretty easily.
