I just saw Doctor Strange!

That movie was just all round brilliant. It actually does a good job of encapsulating the whole spiritual essence into a spectacular marvel movie.

You guys should really not miss that movie. It has all the coolest things, like astral projection fighting, dimensional travel, matter bending, and so many cool things.

Really for a telekinesis practitioner it's a MUST NOT MISS movie! biggrin

IKR? that movie was so awesome! All those mirror dimensions was making my head spin :D my favourite part was when he astral projects the first time, and then that moment where he is lamenting outside the the door and they pull him back in and he's like "Thank you" XD

Which was your favourite part :)

I won't spoil it for others by giving details, but my favorite parts were the philosophical conversations with the Ancient One; I liked the whole movie though. Hope you stayed for both end credits scenes:)

Oh no I forget the classic marvel end credits -.-, but it's definitely worth watching again :)

But yes we should not spoil it for others, those philosophical dialogues can get pretty deep actually :)

I finally saw it last night. I wasn't wowed for some reason but I do wish I could astral project at will though I'm too lazy to put the work in.

I mostly use superhero movies for Chaos Magick style invocations. In other words; imagine you are the character doing the technique & embody what it feels like engaging all senses. It's the same method used in Tibetan deity yoga, & bhakti yoga generally. You can use these movies as spells basically, to relax the ego; suspend disbelief, & shift attention to the powers represented in the movie. Watch the movie a few times, & it's a part of you; your consciousness may be shifted at any time to access these abilities which the ego normally resists.

Concerning astral projection at will; stop telling yourself it's hard. If you daydream, or get lost in thought; if you've ever had missing time & wondered how you had walked from here to there, then you project all the time. Accessing this ability at will doesn't require work, so much as self awareness, or observation. Your consciousness is already omnipresent, so it's again a matter of relaxing enough to shift your attention. You do this to varying degrees anytime you eat; read a book, play a game, worry about problems, plan for the future, or engage any activity for that matter. It really is comes down to expectation; relaxation, & engagement of attention.

Here are a couple of techniques you can practice to improve your skill:

1. Take a moment to be mindful of a physical experience your having during the day, paying attention to all your senses & surrounding details. I could be anything; lunch, brushing teeth, sex, whatever as long as it's physical. Then without much time passing; relive the experiences which as many of the sensory details as you can recall. Relive this same memory as as many times as you need to, so that you have it in vivid detail without effort. Because you are using memory, you are leveraging tactile visualization, without much effort. Meanwhile, the sensory, awareness conditions you to accessing your astral body.

Once you are comfortable living in the memory space; take a moment to be mindful within that space, & look around, pay attention to details you didn't notice before, move to a different place in the memory environment then you occupied before, make changes to the memory, open doors in the memory that you didn't before. The longer you hangout in the memory; the more your ego will relax & the more your attention will shift from your physical to your astral body.

2. Concerning the movie invocation technique, it's very similar to the memory projection technique. Take a clip from a movie or video, & mindfully watch it many times until you have all the vivid details. Next comes the invocation/yoga. This depends upon occupying the mind with Body; Sound, & Visuals.

A) You embody what it feels like physically to be the character in the scene; what there clothes feel like, room temperature, pleasure/pain, what their powers feel like, etc..

B:) Recall all sounds from the scene including the characters speech/voice from the characters perspective in space.

C:) See everything the character sees from the characters point of view.

As with memory projection; do this over & over. Eventually our ego will temporarily be replaced by/absorbed into the the character. You begin to realize the characters abilities & skills, but it can be dangerous if you don't choose the character wisely; in deity yoga you work with enlightened Buddhas. If you work with fictional or real unenlightened beings you can create karma for yourself associated with the personality being worked with. That being said, the technique does work as a fast method for developing powers. More profoundly though, it can lead to realization you are not you ego:)

Great advice as always man. I managed to astral project two nights ago but the reasons why are still fuzzy since I tried a myriad of things before falling asleep to try and get my subconscious ready for it. I was able to get away from my house for once but it didn't last long. I found myself in a dimly lit house floating in the direction that I was initially flying and a little dog was chasing me like it was the funnest thing in the world. When I went to go pet him I only managed to touch the top of his head before I phased back into my body. lol I think it was a wiener dog.

I keep meaning to set up and practice the stuff from this video that you recommended on a couple occasions but haven't made the time. I will definitely work on recalling a point during my day in the evening and ideally it'll be a point that I will have stopped and focused on all the sounds/sensations/etc. of the particular moment during that day. I seriously want to practice and study in the astral. I've wanted to do that since I first learned about it 5 years ago. 100% utilization of sleep time would be awesome.

I've found that it can help to frequently talk about it with others who are into projecting. This guy has a very dedicated astral projection channel & practice. He is also, very nice person:

It's awesome indeed! :)

Finally a movie, where they've treated space-time in a way that's abstract enough. Inception lacked that, Interstellar came a bit closer, but still didn't quite express it yet.

Also loved how they had managed to make the dialogues and plot twists unpredictable. All those surprising minor details.
