To move the object requires that you gain an affinity with it. Look there is a reason love is the greatest power to use. Love creates affinity. Love helps you appreciate to understand to learn to have knowledge love is so often misused in hollywood however affinity is connection love not seeing yourself as alone but a part love of the word around you will help you to connect to everything. This is how you get into true pk you stop having separation and being separated from the knowledge in this knowledge one can influence all mass and energy if one takes the time to appreciate and understand to gain an affinity with it. Some people have a natural affinity withcertain things some things sentimental they attribute supernatural power to it because their mind can influence it however the real deal is that th mind can influence energy mass = energy. If you hate you cut yourself off however for example I am good at every job I do when I take time to appreciate the detail gain and affinity with it Empathy comes into pk more than you can ever know and its your empathy neurons that help your mind to interface to the universe around you. Affinity is you become a part of it it becomes a part of you there is no distance your mind connects it uses the energy it gets in the pk zone it is you are then you move the thing.

Do people have a greater chance of success with certain materials than with others? I remember reading years ago that practicing PK with certain types of materials may produce better results. Is there any truth to this? Do certain people have a specific affinity with objects made of wood? Do others do better with metal?
Empathy neurons help the mind to interface. I have to remember that.
Yes some people feel more comfortable with some materials than others this is only preferential you are only limited by how much you train and what you train with so mix it up from time to time to stay versatile. Remember all matter is just energy at a quantum level so your limits are in your mind your mind can control energy.

Once again Shirak, you speak wisdom. Tis a shame you're on vacation. Either way, if you have a connection to the object it's easier to move. Mass probably has something to do with what happens, as well as your belief in it happening in the first place. The only loophole i see in your theory is that love is an affinity emotion yes, but hate and other emotions can be redirected to cause change as well I'd reason. They're both just emotions, the key to mastery is to calm your emotions and keep yourself calm in the tensest of situations.
Hey Alex, I'm just comparing a few different materials here in my desk as I write this up.
I would like to use some fluids or organic stuff, but I got none here, so I'm using a key, a plastic pen, a ball of paper a piece of a twig, a stone and a small piece of glass and I find no significant difference in the length and speed of movement of metal, plastic, paper, wood, stone or glass, when I hang them in a string and make them swing around.
I know people who enjoy certain colors more than others and some who detest certain animals more than others, but even though some of them can have better results with certain types of materials over others, I would say that's just what it is... a preference.
Its definately a case of what you feel comfortable building your construct arround and setting your attention on recently I have been experiencing a flow type energy.
I think that as you train with a limited set of skills and objects you are tooling your mindset to get optimum performance from the conditions and objects you train with Ie. train with fire get better with fire. But only train with fire and try to knock a book over its two different mindskills.
I am not suggesting limiting oneself to one skill however jumping from skill to skill will cause a longer progression curve though then again knowledge from all skillsets can help in the understanding of pk as a whole so I guess what Im saying is find an a bility to train in to get better faster.
