Hi Ryan,

do you intend it to swing or rotate? If you are about to swing it, like a pendulum, you should for a start make the thread longer as it would be easier to move.

I can rotate my pendulum in a bottle for like 90 degrees, but can't do anything serious with the wheel, so this bottle thing might be under influence of other effects (thermal, static...).

I don't know if it is this way for you, but when You make something move do you get this excited feeling, that your doing it.

That is my downfall. After that I think "I know I can do it, i've done it", while in reality, this ****iness holds me back, but it also gives me proof that I can do it, which makes me want to try harder. Maybe since you doubted it was you, your "power" is offended, that's why it's not working so well.

I know this sounds silly, but try to ask it if it could swing for you. And also ask your "power" if you can help it out. I find this method more successful than telling or commanding it to work.

Another thing you could try is get your body in the flow. Rock back and forth, or side to side as you "become" the string. This could influence the string to move like you do, you know, like an adaption of the surrounding, I guess. "Since he's doing it, it's okay for me to do it to."

If you don't minde me asking, if you use hands as a guide. Does anything come out of them? Can you fell something or see something. If you do, notice what colour you see, or the thickness it feels like, or how your hands and body felt at the time it moved, even if it is just a little. Then try to create that feeling within yourself and adjust accordingly, everytime it changes.
