RE: Movies that might inspire us

An interesting game, but it seems to have the same problems that a lot of movies and games do these days.

It stimulates the fear of not being in control o these phenomena.

Also, always fighting, shooting and killing people. Why? That's only one of the countless things that can be done in this life.
There are so many peaceful things that can be done, too.

I guess they really get paid a lot to promote violence and loss of self-control among the people.

biggrin Man, I sound like my granny or something. But she did have a point when she commented on the games we were playing.

lol Owl, I have had them come sit on my bed, but not jump on it :D

Sussch, I agree with what you are saying about some things really making people fear the idea of people like us. I struggle to maintain any kind of control over my energy, as others do who are like me. It can be scary as well as dangerous at times. Ignoring that fact won't make it go away, but I agree it is extremely exaggerated in most media.

Sussch, while I think what you say may be true in something like pornography or a movie with gratuitous violence. I think one should play a game, or watch a movie before passing a sweeping judgement on it. For me the game is giving voice to something which I as a real person have experienced. It is not wrong to face & acknowledge the suffering or triumphs of others.

Pain; fear, anger, sex, violence, grief, etc., are a part of the human experience. Telling a story containing such elements, is not necessarily a promotion of them. If we only told happy stories, it would be dishonest, & many people would feel alienated from the lack of authenticity.

I think that what is good about the game, is that it allows an opportunity to walk in another's shoes:)

Yeah, I agree. The opportunity to experience situations from different perspectives is what makes this game really stand out. There was a really good movie on that, Crash (2005).

Also, I know that it's a part of the human experience. What I'm aiming at is that it's not the only part of the human experience. So far in a lot of the pk-related games I've played and a lot of pk-related movies I've seen, there's a good guy and a villain and then there's fighting. This makes it kind of biased, makes it look immature and makes it lack the feel of authenticity. In real life, people try to coexist and reach compromises without fear, anger and fighting so that very rarely do these things happen. Hmm .. actually, this might be a matter of culture or something. What's not realistic for me, might be everyday life for someone else.

Still, I think the more we associate ourselves with the stereotypes from the media, the more our minds are being conditioned. Say there were a problem with acting on emotions, then perhaps we could associate with figures that are free of these problems. Or if we desire to have geisting under control, then we could picture being a master for whom there's no geisting and for whom there's never even a question if something is under control or not.

Concerning geisting, I think that the strength of the energies involved matters. As a tantric yogi, I can say from my experience that it's not simply a matter of controlling my personal energy. When psychokinesis was a matter of focusing subtle energy, the approaches you mention would work better. At my current stage of development, there is nothing at all subtle about the energy, it is always on. You might as well ask a surfer whether they are in control of the ocean. At least though, a surfer can decide whether to ride the waves on a particular day.

What ever I think or feel causes an immediate physical manifestation in the environment & other people. I no longer enjoy the freedom of casual private thoughts without responsibility being an issue. Basically, masters don't think, or indulge in personal identity. Masters don't crave or reject anything; they are totally open & empty. This is not just a matter choice, but a necessity, once the energies reach a certain voltage. There, are meditation practices like deity concentration which can help transform the nervous system & mind into a better container for these energies, but a normal ego driven life is basically over.

I am not yet a master, & some people experience these developments spontaneously. It can be very stressful in ways that I don't even mention on the forum. Knowing that there are others who relate to this can often help me to cope:)

People walking through the walls, teleporting, activating stargate with their mind..

Also, Free-TV project contains links to a lot of series.

An audiobook rather than a movie, but very good. I talks a lot about dissolving mental blocks & accessing ones potential:)
