Googled around in the wikipedia again. This time I clicked on "apport" and found something I considered funny and sad at the same time:
A famous apport fraud is attributed to Charles Bailey. During an séance, Bailey produced two live birds out of thin air but was undone when the dealer who sold him the birds appeared in the crowd.
He made two birds appear out of thin air and they take the fact that he had bought the birds as proof that he's a fraud..?!

I think that with the limitations of the 5 physcal senses, it's kind of impossible to prove or disprove anything objectively. I think people mostly agree to conform to interpretation of phenomena. This is not the same thing as something being objectively absolute, even though unfortunately this seems to be how many choose see things.
We can as humans agree that the sky is blue, but is it objectively blue to all observers, including other animals, or is that our label which we stick to out of habbit. If you are an insect with a light body & exoskeleton who climbs walls, gravity undoubtedly has completely diferent effect & meaning than it does for a human.
I don't know the story about thew man with the birds, but your telling of it reminds me of how all psions are accused of being frauds because fraudulence is possible. He could have been a fraud I guess, but he could also have purchased birds, & teleported them from on location to another:)

well the sky aint actually blue o.o its just what we see due to the electrons o_O it doesnt make it blue.. The world is colourless !! o.o its our eyes that make it colourful ^^ Edit : people tend to believe the impossible easier than the possible o.o They tend to believe that PK is impossible.. instead of tryin to believe the opposite. its human nature ^^ We tend to believe what we cannot make ... instead of trying to believe we can make it..

Hey Draspy, that was really a nice post! cool words there!
And yeah, I think human nature's just more of a thing where people tend to believe what they're aware of. It's like a saying I hear sometimes goes, "What you don't know's gown getcha!" lol
But yeah, I really liked what you said there about that kind of stuff!
@Draspy: That's what I find difficult to believe. I can't believe we believe in the impossible rather than the possible. It doesn't make sense ..
With all this conditioning to think rationally, it would make more sense for people to think rationally. It's like we love to make rules and when someone follows them, then we love to make fun of them. I don't know, it's just weird what's considered "normal" and what not - as if it's all upside down.
