I have recently asked my guru about the Tibetan Tummo practices (Heating ones body) and how I may accomplish them. He told me to concentrate on the third chakra and repeat Aum Swaha.
This is a different method for producing heat then the Tibetans Tummo practices but that does not mean it is any less of a practice. It is actually superior.
To master Tummo takes many years and the heat is only brought up when you practice the Exercise. With this Aum Swaha practice it only takes a few weeks/months opposed to years depending on your natural abilities.
The results are also not dependant on the exercise itself which means that over time your body is not affected by the cold anymore without any thought on it. You do not need to do the practice when you are in the situation as the energy in your body realizes you are cold and ups the heat to compensate.
I have been practicing this a little bit lately and I am feeling the results now. The cold dosent bother me as much anymore and when others are cold I am not. For example, I live in Canada so it gets pretty cold here and when my friends are in winter jackets saying they are cold I have been in a tshirt enjoying the freshness of the cold.
This is one of the siddhis awakening inside of me and I recommend you guys to start this practice also.
I have been able to cool objects my attempts at raising temperature has been less than successful I have always held a sort of aversion to accelerating particles I think my concern is the geisting of spot fires. I have always run hot and thinking of a fire or a toaster has always caused me to send out more heat. As I type I have an environmental thermometer on my desk which has stayed consistent in my air conditioned environment for several hours I will try to heat the location around it using a heat based intention to see If I can get a reading> This will be no hands so as not to contaminate the reading.

Ok so I got it to go up a half a degree Now where I am the air con is controlled however The environment is not people coming in and out all day so the temperature raise could be attributed to more bodies in the area. I think practice needs to be in a more controlled are.

I was thinking more about this and yes when I project hot at the thermometer after several moments it goes up half a degree then after some time goes down again. What I need to get is an environmental thermometer. Got one of those in my weather station and a personal digital one which monitors changes in my body temp to see if my body is the heat source and it is projecting it somehow or if the temp rise is more of an energy based type similare to a microwave.

This pactice is mainly for increasing your own bodys temperature, im unsure about using it to heat your surroundings as I have never heard of it before. I would suggest practicing with your own body, you will be able to feel heat in your arms and body after a while.
Once you get the hang of it I suggest exposing yourself to colder temperatures during practice to see if you can withstand them by producing this heat in your body.
I would not fear catching on fire and this thought of accelerating particles should not be thought about either. It will only slow your progress when there is in reality no danger. Monks have been doing this practice for years and my guru has never told me of anybody being harmed by it, nor have I read anything.
To actually catch something ablaze would take much much more energy then to heat your body, and by then your body will be immune to the fire anyways. Dont worry about it.
