I was wondering. Has anyone ever thought of trying to make a PK "programming"? For example, putting a psi-wheel somewhere, and focusing on creating a "tk program", to make it move for a whole week, without the need of being near of it of even focusing (after "doing" the programming of course).
You mean constructs? I've made a street light pulse to my heart rate :).

Yeah kind off, but even deeper! Making a construct work by itself, without the need of thinking about it anymore, the object itself "loops" the action you programmed him to do.
So you mean something like psi-wheel spinning forever? This reminds me of that scientists have tried creating perpetual motion like start of time. What if we were the missing piece? :D

Yes, that would be an example of what I meant! Imagine, the possibilities would be endless. We could find a way to make endless energy sources through that, and many other things. I think that this is pretty much the idea of classic magick, creating something that will work by itself, without the need of anyone controling it.
Everything in physical nature decays or needs fuel. More importantly though, somthing that is self could be dangerous. A self sustaining construct, could just decide that it's creator is obsolete.
Just sayin:)

Yeah thats true. I guess that enters the "tulpa" idea also. But the fuel part could be manipulated somehow. For example, you could program a psi-wheel to rotate everytime someone near it feels hate or love. I think that legends of "damned" artifacts are in fact some sort of self-sustaining conscruct like that.
Long before I started PK, I created an intelligent self aware construct to help me become one with air. I treated the construct like a small child. At 1st the construct fed on my approval, but eventually I forgot about it, & found a couple years later that it was still alive & kicking. The construct is much stronger; larger, & now very independent. It visits me while I'm out of body sometimes, & I respect it as a sentient being.
Things turned out well, but if I had it to do over again, I would have been much more careful:)

Aww. I don't know why but that is kind of touching :)

Construct Creation:Techniques for creating intelligent entities
From my own personal experience with both psionics & chaos magick; I would say that aside from ritual style, the creation of constructs is essentially the same in whatever discipline. I would make a distinction, that people practicing magick may perhaps be more likely to intentionally create sentient constructs.
