Recently ive been having problems meditating, i have forgotten what i am supposed to feel meditating and the steps to be in REAL meditation. All i can remember is counting to ten with my breath in a comfortable postion over and over but i dont know what comes after, i feel hopeless doing this over and over and dont feel like this is real meditating. Can anyone help me with this problem?

All you need to do, is to rest your attention on an object, & bring your attention back to that object as your mind wanders off. After awhile, this attention, becomes a trance like concentration, & you are not so distracted by thoughts & disturbances. Then awhile after that, the concentration evolves into meditation; you transcend duality, & you can't tell the difference between you & the object of concentration. Many things happen after that, but it's better if you experience that for yourself.
The breath meditation from the Buddha, Anapana Sati, is practiced by focusing awareness on the sensation of your breath on your upper lip, or the tip of your nose. Just rest your mind on the sensation, & don't be concerned with other phenomena, or expect signposts of progress which will only distract you. Phenomena, pleasant & unpleasant will arise, but like your thoughts, don't be pulled away by them. Always rest your attention squarely on the object of concentration; in the case of breath meditation, the object is the sensation on the nose or lip:)

There are various forms of meditation. For me it involves focus on one thing Quieting the ego and maintaining constant breath and present moment awareness. Add some intention focused at a target and biofeedback and you have pk mindset.
