So I just saw this forum, and it reminded me of something that happened when I was quite young, about 10-13.
I was walking around the house, doing whatever it was that I was doing, and I walked into my room (As you open the door, there was a King size bed in the corner, which is about 2 metres from the door). As I opened the door, I saw a pair of my brother's shoes on my bed. Immediately, something happened. It was as if my eyes zoomed in on the shoes, like what would happen if you looked down a scope in an First Person Shooter game (without the scope, obviously). As soon as it happened, my vision went back to normal.
Since that day I have been dumbfounded. I don't know whether it was a hallucination, or something. I haven't told anybody about it, because it seems so unrealistic.
I don't really remember too much from back then, so I don't really know whether it's related to something, I don't know.
I'm still just really confused about it.

There's a somewhat similar effect when you become one with an object. You'll just see, feel and hear the object - bodily awareness fades into the background. It starts to feel as if the object were in your body.
