Hello from 6879

Hello my dear friends,

I am excited about this forum through the Youtube videos of Shirak (Thank you very much Shirak). Finally, I have found a place that I could freely express my concern and long-term questions.

About Me

I am a programmer, 3x years old, married, and having a son. Luckily, I have the finance freedom thanks to a software that I built with my co-founders 3-4 years ago. As a result of that, I have more time to think about life, and things around me.

Spiritual/Consciousness/Psi are the topics that keep coming to me. But due to work-life, I was on and off with them. I hope this time, things will change.

I've also practiced martial arts for more than 10 years from Aikido and switched to a private martial arts. My martial art teacher, who has a very creative mind and strange view, claimed to learn the martial arts from his dreams. He named his martial arts "No-Form or Systemless'' Martial Arts, as he doesn't like the "secret concepts" covered by traditional Chinese martial arts. We practice mostly the Way of Sword (Bokken) and The Book of Five Rings (Musashi Miyamoto) is the book he recommends. He explains several topics in the book for me to get a better idea. He mentioned that whenever he reads that book, he doesn't know whether he is Mushi or Musashi is him.  I have learned about the chi/ki/, relax, concentration concepts from him.

My teacher is a kind of person that has reached a certain level of spirituality.  However, he suggested that I keep focusing on the physical reality (I think he means to stay grounded and focus on maintaining a good health of body and mind. Just don't pay much attention to other realms). However, as I have told, the above topics always intrigue me and when I look at my library, it is all about these topics. I have tried to share some concepts with my friends but they seem not to intrigue them.

What makes me to believe in the topics are:

- Whenever I develop some mindfulness of the nature around me, there is always the wind/cold breeze that comes to me. It seems like nature wants to tell me that I am right, I am on the right way, keep learning more.

- I have learned the concept of law of attraction, esp. from Nevill Goddard and applied it to my life and I have a strong belief of "I am from God". When I pray,  I start with this sentence "Dear God, I know I am within you and you are within me". I have prayed and things manifest. It makes me believe.

- I have a good empathy - feel hurt/cry when seeing people struggling from poverty, hardship, and animal cruelty actions, etc. I manage the employees mostly from emotions (thanks to my co-founders, they are more logical and help to balance the solution. Luckily, things work well till now). I feel I sense other emotions and understand whether they have a concern well. I see my success because of luck/destiny instead of because I am smart. I believe there is something much larger than me. And we are a way for God to learn about himself.

- I have some OBE during sleep (3-4 times in total), I am not sure if it is an OBE or Lucid Dream as things are mixed.

- I feel energy in my fingers and palms when moving them near and far of each other. However, it is not a strong one as compared to others in this forum as I have read.

- I have read the book "Stalking the wild pendulum" of Itzhak Bentov and the CIA document "Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway" and I believe in them.

- A Vietnam TV show is about a man having hyperphantasia. In the game show, he is presented with 100 white papers. The interviewers pick a white paper in 100 papers and let him watch that paper. Then, the interviewers put that paper back  and shuffle the positions of 100 papers. That man has to identify the white paper he has been shown. He found it, and he suggested that he could do it by visualizing a cat on that paper. That cat is "lively" like a real one, can act on its own in his visualization and when he watches the paper, he only needs to see which paper that has that cat.

What I want to learn

I want to know more about the God/Universe/Nature:

- By knowing God/Universe/Nature, I must "experience" it. It should not be just a self-claimed belief.

- I believe matter/consciousness is made from energy exchange in the universe.

- As a result of that, learning to control my internal and external energy is the way to learn about the God/Universe.

- To control the energy, I need to improve the concentration/meditation and feel more about energy.

- While developing my energy control/concentration, I need to reduce the potential risks that might affect my family.

Thank you very much for reading my first post. I hope that I will learn more from you guys!

(Edit: I seem to answer my own questions - I think to reduce reading and focusing on practice might help to move things forward! Thank you)

Hello, 6879!

It's nice to meet you.
I think it's quite difficult to find people who have an interest in these topics.

Similarly to your martial arts teacher, have you learned something from your dreams, too?

I think that there is no clear line between Lucid Dreams and OBE.
I've gotten the impression that even the regular dreams have properties of OBE.

Hello Sussch,

Thank you very much for your reply. I have been worried the forum is not active any more :D. I have also found your blog online. You are so consistent with your journey. It inspires me.

Regarding dreams, I haven't learned any specific new things from dreams. But sometimes, it helps me to make the decision in life situations. For example

"When I worked for an old company for nearly 5 years and I have started to think about leaving. I wondered because that was one of the flexible working environment so far. I was stress because of it. One day, I had a dream of going to play soccer with my colleagues at that company, however, I came late, and then when I came, my colleagues played the game. I just felt that I didn't belong to the company anymore."

The next morning, I sent a resignation letter. :D

I think I will need to learn many things from you guys. And I decided to start my progress journey here

psychokinesis.activeboard.com/t66650066/6879s-journal/.

I hope to have more feedback and advice from you guys here

Nice!

Yeah, the forum is not at its peak activity.

I'm not sure if the journey is consistent or not. It feels like being lost at sea, with no-one or nothing to take as an ideal .. drifting in an unknown direction (or maybe multiple directions simultaneously, I don't know).

I guess persistence and patience are some of the few things which maybe still help me get somewhere, someday. Though, even those have faltered somewhat.

I don't think I would be of much help in terms of advice. The only thing I could offer, is my observations, which might not generalize to others.

I've found dreams to be very useful in learning.

Hey, @6879!

It's nice to know other users have similar interests as I do. I started programming about five years ago, and will start a related university degree in some months.

I've also been practising aikido for 6-7 years. I think it's an excellent way to feel energy, the 'ki' you were mentioning in the post. Do you feel this will help to your development regarding the matters you wanted to learn about?

I was also wondering if you still have that Vietnam TV show video on the man with hyperphantasia. I'd really like to see how he explained it, it seems amazing!

Hope you have a nice day. :D

Hello Prassek,

Sorry for late reply. I got sick and was busy.

Regarding Ki in Aikido, I mostly practice about relaxing and recently, I practice more concentration through meditation and yes, it is all about a whole body-mind concentration of a movement. I still practice more of this.

Regarding of the clip, you can check it out here www.youtube.com/watch

I hope it helps!

LOL... can relate, sounds familiar... very familiar

But on a serious note, we cannot be the first ones dabling in this stuff... there's gotta be someone somewhere with the path mapped, otherwise it's like shooting in the dark as you very well pointed.

Which is probably one of the main reasons people start spinning their wheels in the mud eventually getting bogged down permanently out of disappointment and hopelessness.

All the more reason why we need each other in order to find direction :

Direction
