Controlling your dreams

hey im new but pretty familiar with PK and meditation and chi and stuff. but one thing i really want to do is control my dream. my dad used to right down his dreams for about 2 or 3 weeks. then one day he said to me that he had finally got some progrees with it. he said while he was dreaming he saw something out of the ordinary or completely random like a toilet shaped like a giant oyster that was alive so from that random object or event he realized wait a minute im in a dream but instead of waking up he used his dream and could control it. so he shot out of the restroom and flew around during his dream. the next day when he told me of his dream he said it was awsome he could do anything he wanted.

but now every time i go to sleep my dreams are more like stories and there is really nothing i can do but watch or play along but never qiet do what i want to. well sometimes everyone has an awsome dream of flying just for a minute. i think there is much more to learn from dreams. like why is it that when u are being chased by something in a dream u cant run fast.

my friend also told me of a dream where he was being chased by a mofia or gang. then he stopped running looked at his hands and grabbed control of the dream but instead of flying he turned his hands into fully automatic guns and fired back. but he does play a lot of shooting games.

anyways if you got any pointers into controlling your dreams im still up for it. i tried to do it the way my dad says but its kind of difficult. well this is my first post so just saying hey and this forum rocks i read it a lot

From a symbolic standpoint, I'd say you're still at conflict with something in your life.

Your subconscious is fueled by an even simpler mode of thoughts that somehow controls every other complicated form of thought... Emotion.

When you begin to understand what influences your emotions, you must learn to understand that your emotions have more power than all else.

Your emotions are what keep you in the mindset you are.

When you strive to bring happiness into your life or even good mood, your emotions will adjust accordingly.

This is even more so when entheogens are consumed... The things experienced while under the influence of entheogens relies on your emotions and your ability to control them.

Your ability to control fear is the first and foremost emotion that all humans should seek to conquer. Realize that intention and the motives behind intention are what give you power, physically and mentally.

It also depends on how creative your mind works. Right brain, left brain, etc. This can always be changed, but it takes initiative and research to do it. Always rely on self dependence when trying to understand yourself, but when trying to become something more you must seek new perspective.

I find it much easier to understand my body by understanding communities of people and societies as a whole. I substitute real-world conflicts with the emotions that fuel them; Anger and hostility are the two most destructive emotions. In a bodily sense, think of each cell as a living being in the universe. You are the ruler of the universe, and your judgement is your emotion. Can't control your emotions? Can't control the universe.

Although, I wouldn't quite immediately assume these metaphors reality...

EDIT: With that being said, the indifference or lack of emotion makes you just that: indifferent. Attempt to seize your emotions by realizing that they are what hold you together... Or, they don't. Interpret that how you see fit to your life, but indifference is both destructive and constructive... negative and positive... balanced. You will learn alot about yourself when you acknowledge how you interpret indifference.

Here is a good website on controlling your dreams. First you have to learn to remember your dreams. Read the website, it is really good:

http://www.lucidipedia.com/misc/index.php

Also, I need help on a dream mystery lately.

My friend has been having a re-occuring dream that has been haunting him for some reason. The dream doesn't SOUND scary, but to him it is really scary. I want to know if any of you have any insight. So here is his dream:

There are marbles lined up in a row. They are luminescent, pearly, and white. The marbles all have names that are not Earthly, as in they have never been spoken on Earth. They are names we would never think of or hear. He claims he knows all the names very well, as if he has known these names forever. I think the marbles represent souls, but that is just my opinion. Anyways, there is one solid black marble. This marble represents him. He gets creeped out whenever he realizes the black marble is him in the dream. Also, the black marble too has a name it has had for all eternity. So what could it mean?

And he describes these things as marbles, but who really knows what he is seeing?

I'm fascinated by his dreams. I've always felt that souls exists in a similar way, with elements to them that we can't perceive.

I'm not sure what his dream means yet, but I'll think it over.

I know this is an older thread but I wanted to comment anyway. There is an old movie circa early 1980's. Dennis Quaide is the star. Movie is called Dreamscape. The script makes mention of an actual tribe in Malaysia called the Dream People. They teach their children from a very young age to never lose control in a dream. Mental illness in their tribe is virtually nonexistent. Google them.

Thank you this is a good lead. Here are two links I found very interesting pieces of the puzzle.

Good work Ro, I had not read the second link....

"As Stewart puts it in a particularly well-turned phrase: "The freest type of psychic play occurs in sleep"

I find it helpful to write down dreams immediately upon awakening. I have many pages in my journals of Levitating, and such things.

I would like to talk to the Senoi.

Anybody up for a motorcycle ride into the jungles of Malaysia lol?

....Or perhaps the GPS coordinates of a Senoi settlement? maybe I could meet them on the dream plane.

There is so much untapped power in dreams and orthodox science still takes a chemical mechanical approach to it.

I believe the rule is if you will yourself somewhere in a dream your intention will take you there.

I also have had a progression of evolving levitation abilities in dreams with a dream memory of the technique which seems to progress with each session. It is one of my favorite types of dreams.

I am going to start asking those around me about their dreams more often and try and put a positive spin on them I want to see how doing this regularly affects them.

Hey Garrett, (if you are still on this forum) your Father's dream is very interesting. Sometimes, I write my dreams down as well. I have many notebooks full of stuff. Often, I have trouble remembering them though. One dream I had early on in this journey, involved me talking to someone, we were in a cafeteria type setting standing next to the soda dispenser, when all of a sudden I became lucid, I realized it was a construct and an entity was creating it like a virtual reality. I said "this is a construct" and I immediately popped myself out of it and woke myself up. Since then, I have had several instances where I have become lucid and where I have had active roles in the dream in which I can make choices. Other times I am just along for the ride. I have also had an out of body experience, again in the presence of entities, I was engaged in a conversation and suddenly I decided to return to my body. I felt my essence or Astral body actually re-entering my physical body through the chest area, and I saw my face from the inside. I have a friend who has had specialized training. He had to survive for one week in Las Vegas with no money and avoid being tracked and photographed by the next group higher up in the training sequence. Sounds like a real adventure to me. Here is something you might try. Consider that there are people around us who are invisible and telepathic with advanced psionic capabilities such as constructs and subliminal suggestion etc. Don't freak out they have been here your whole life. They probably don't like competition from us higher density people, especially when we seek to learn psionics which can affect their dimension. So they mess with us when we are in our most defenseless state, sleep. They have many distinct advantages, they know where you sleep, you don't know they exist, (until now) they are in another dimension and hence invisible to the human eye (although cats can see them and they probably have an infrared signature) we are taught to be afraid of the unknown. Don't fear them! Knowledge is power. Here is a little excersise you might try. Go camping or stay the night somewhere that you never go. Don't plan the location while you are at home. Wait until you are on the road and away from your house to decide where you are going. When you get to where you are going do not think about psionics (this is the hardest part, training your mind) you might try to keep yourself occupied doing something that requires concentration or go sightseeing or go to an amusement park and ride the scariest rides. Then just before bed, program your own construct. Get yourself relaxed, try to get to Alpha and stay lucid (The Silva Mind Control Method is a good book to study except the part about contacting higher intelligence, avoid this) program yourself to remember your dreams, and to wake up if you're in a construct. The next morning, quickly write down as much as you can remember. Then post your findings and your dreams here. Have fun doing this as well. Stay positive!!

Been gone awhile, got sidetracked. Night before last, I decided to make a construct before bedtime. I wanted to have normal dreams and work on problems, not have dreams that are administered in the form of constructs to keep my mind busy while the physical body rests, (your mind never really sleeps). I have come to understand that many dreams are really just random constructs with elements from other people's thoughts put together by bored telepathic beings and may not have any special significance. These are not attempts by our own subconscious to make sense of some abstract ideology. In the past I have programmed myself to wake up when a construct was put on me. Now I program to wake up to the point of lucidity so I can control the dream and still get my rest. When you get to the point of lucidity you will notice that there is a presence. You will need to use your intention and block this entity, at that point you will be able to dream what you want and do as you please. The entity will try to put you back into a construct, if you are strong of will, you can resist. The entity actually spoke to me while I was lucid, saying 'there are only a few people that can do that' then it said 'if you don't let me do my job they will send others that are not so nice'. It is my belief that the entity is one of 'The Grays'. The following morning, I was compelled to focus on a construct that encompasses the whole Earth. This construct is designed to expell the interdimensional and psionically active entities known to us as 'The Grays' from the vicinity of our home. I have called it 'The Alien Gray Expulsion Construct'. It is designed to drain energy from them and diminish their activities here. This construct will accept positive energy from humans as well. I think we as a people should focus on them getting in their ships and leaving here. We should also pray to the Creator of this universe about this matter as well.

Hm, that's interesting.

I can't remember feeling any presence stopping me from becoming lucid. But on the other hand, I can't remember many dreams I've become lucid in either.

In my opinion, at least some (if not most) of the dreams are constructs made by ourselves. A lot of my dreams consist of daily activities and thoughts in a loop. I guess I sometimes just step out, pick another one or become lucid and turn it all into a pk practice.

Once I was curious and visualized all kind of bubbles with different dreams. I considered the nearmost ones boring and reached for one that seemed quite far from me. Well, I wouldn't want to do that again. Anyway, I think that one has enough freedom to create their own dreams or choose from a lot of already existing ones. (or join someone else's - haven't been able to verify this yet).

An entity that expels The Grays.. In my view of my father's opinion, The Greys have been allowed to perform experiments on us to some extent and maybe that entity is one of the things that other aliens keep them in control with. Well, I don't know, I can't remember being abducted and I simply believe my father's story.

Edit: Based on a dream that I had the next morning, I think you're right - there seems to be something or someone trying to keep us busy so that we wouldn't realize we're dreaming. Yet I'm not sure whether it's subconscious or something else. Posted the dream here, if someone's interested: http://sussch-daweird.blogspot.com/2010/11/alien-dream.html.

Just a herbal tip for those who feel like they have no energy or are falling asleep and they need to stay awake.

Cayanne pepper or chilli on the tongue, Tabasco mixed with tomato juice all raise your metabolism and blood flow to the head.

They work far better for me than caffeine and the sensory bite causes heightened awareness around the head leading to alertness. Just wanted to pass on this herbal tip. ( I love my sleep but sometimes necessity requires I stay awake and alert for a time and sometimes I may be to tired to do just that.

I also find that dedicating the first moments after your alarm to dream construct visualization also gives access to those constructs durring dreams when I dont realize I am dreaming.

I have found that a slab of cheese before bed leads to a large ammount of dreams. I also found that sleeping in Casino hotels and camping on beaches always seems to generate a lot of dream states.

I had an exceptional visual dream experience last night immediately following a cheese rich dinner. Multiple people I do not know and alien landscapes and places. The dream seemed to be focused on a drug that was being used to remove peoples freewill.

I was mainly an observer however on occasions I was pursued. I was able to materialize dream weapons as appropriate however this dream was set in a medieval time. The effect of eating cheese before sleep lead to an almost exhausting parade of dreams throughout the night almost like a movie. I would say the difference in this dream experience is that the intensity and textures of things seem to be more vivid.
