I of course will see the live action Green Lantern as well, but I don't really have as much faith in it's ability to do Green Lantern justice. I mainly feel this way because for one Green Lantern has so much information to cover in the span of a movie, & also live action superhero films have to pander to uninterested audiences in a way that animation usually doesn't. In a sense the animation can represent Green Lantern more faithfully:)

Cool, it seems it came out yesterday. Thank you for recommending this. Sister has been asking for any interesting movies for the last couple of days. Going to see it tomorrow morning..

A stable-minded person will neither hug nor hate the world, he will take things as they come.
Any of the Star Wars movies, especially The Empire Strikes Back. Luke struggles with believing in himself, and learning to use his abilities. "luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."
Pretty creepy in my opinion. As if the worst fear has manifested without any reason but a controllable urge to kill.
I liked Adam's Apples more .. there seemed to be a strong subconscious reason for geisting in that film. It didn't matter if the main character turned his back on it or not, it was always dragging him towards enlightenment. I like to believe that this is the case with all geisting.

I don't actually take this movie seriously; never even saw it. I think it's funny that for so many of these kinds of films, the only thing the writer can imagine is that someone with these powers would be a monster. It's like how every fictional psychic or medium solves murder cases.
I can think of so much more than those things:)

Dark City (1998) is a movie I recently watched and found as I was searching for movies that are similar to the Matrix. It also has the theme of society being governed by a secret corrupt force like the matrix but there's more of telekinesis and will power involved in it as well. I liked the movie a lot and it really got me thinking after the movie... imagination and ideas originate from somewhere... although people call it sci-fi and fake, the ideas for telekinesis must have been born from some truth as all other ideas have. We can only come up with ideas based on something that we know and understand. And telekinesis has been an idea since ancient times. It's strange how after all these years it's still not believed in. It's almost like they don't want us to know it's real. That's why they make the movies. Thats why THEY call it sci-fi.
