Hypnotic induction techniques

I noticed on Sussch's blog that he enjoyed a Taliesin McKight hypnosis video:

I started answering Sussch's blogpost as I usually do, but decided to post it here instead for everyones benefit. I have been studying hypnosis for a long time and have lots of techniques which I have used for myself & others. I thought it would be a useful thread to start. I will also include Sigil, & construct making techniques in this thread which have worked well for me.

Sussch's Hypnosis Blogpost

My response

When I use number counting for self hypnosis, I usually count back from a higher number so I don't reach zero(it's ok if you don't). I think the value is that it keeps your left brain busy, so your subconscious can adsorb suggestions without interference. So, if you count back, it's helpful to have an affirmation; the image of a construct, or the voice of a hypnotist doing the induction for you in the background. Here is a great example:

One of the things that I use the MP3s I make for is this very thing. So, I record my voice with an induction to play in the background. Usually an affirmation in the form of reverse speech of an intention, the image of a construct, or a Sigil.

Another good technique to occupy the conscious mind, is to imagine a school blackboard. Then take a piece of chalk in your mind, and visualize yourself drawing a circle, making sure to add all sensory input like touch & sound; even the smell of the chalk. Now, draw an "X" inside the circle, making sure the ends of the "X" are touching the inner walls of the circle. You then imagine taking a school eraser, & erasing the "X" without breaking the circle. When you have done this successfully, do the same with the whole alphabet, starting with "A".

Haha, that guy is awesome. Here is a video of his on the power of reverse speech for programming the subconscious.

Wow that's so interesting!

I wonder if like the upside down glasses...
If someone wore reverse speach hearing aids and took them off after 2 months, would everything anyone says go directly into their subconscious? haha

Thanks, I really like that chalk & blackboard idea.

That guy is .. spooky biggrin. Though, he clearly demonstrates the possibilities and methods for self-hypnosis. Thank you .. got to fix my mp3 player, reverse rap something on BoC songs, crank up some effects and listen to it at night aww.

I am making an astral projection, mp3 for myself this tomorrow after work. It will have some reverse speach in it. So, I will add it to the brainwave entrainment thread. I have been really inspired by Rich2150x from the OBE thread, to focus on making a series of entrainment MP3s. My ideas are, if you imagine it like a song list on the back of a CD case:

1. Sensory awareness

2. Guided visualization

3. Holding the details of an imaginary object over time

4. Construct building

5. Astral Projection

6. Building an astral temple

7. Building an astral entity/friend

This will be something I wish to sell some day, so I hope you guys will help me with reviews for tweaking:)

If that CD shows positive results it would be priceless.

You could make albums too and have songs that do more specific entrainment on each of those categories.

I would totally stop listening to ambient and buy all your cds haha
