Some weeks ago I was alone at home in my bedroom with the door locked by key, then I literally heard someone knocking the door and trying to open the door handle, so I thought it was someone from my family who got home, but when I opened the door there was absolutly no one home. I had to take some days to think if this was just geisting of some ghost related thing lol. I had another incredibly strong geisting night at a friends country house two years ago, when we started telling ghost stories. I´m going to explain better this later because its pretty big lol. But one thing I really noticed, is that this kind of thing usually happens in situations like this, where people gather to tell stories and etc.

 I had something similar, only I was in sleep paralysis at the time so it could have very well been a hypnogogic hallucination, it sure seemed real though. I woke up, unable to move, as I frequently do, and heard the door knob jiggling frantically as if someone were desperately trying to get into the room, then pounding on the door rapidly and anxiously. The handle jiggling and pounding stopped and I heard whoever, or whatever it was, start hammering on the walls going down the hallway, stomping loudly as it went. Shortly after this I awkoke and found nothing out of the ordinary except my sister was also awake and said she felt a presense in the room so she wasn't able to sleep. I asked if she heard the noise, she said she did not. 

I've had plenty of other geistings where objects, seemingly randomly, leaped off the counters or shelves near by. 

hmm, I'm not sure it counts as geisting but, one february night I really wanted it to snow, and so I meditated, prayed and asked for snow so long as no one was hurt or negatively affected by it. I gave up on my ego and on any expectations, except inside, there was a certain "knowing" which knew it would snow, a strange knowing beyond hoping or anticipation. I let it go and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up and it was snowing heavy, the news said it was so sudden and came out of nowhere, they weren't expecting it to snow all week. 

Actually, now that you mention it yes, our entire family was going through a lot of stress during the time of the pounding and feeling of some other entity in the house.

Changing the weather was amazing, if only I could find the disapline and focus to do it anytime I wished without fail  There was a bit of success with that on this forum with the redirection of hurricanes in the past if I remember right?
