I don't see any point in challenging Randi. In my opinion, one can not change the beliefs of another, unless they want their beliefs to be changed. Randi is old, conservative and stuck in his beliefs. I don't think even levitating his body would convince him otherwise .. he would probably simply forget it and claim that it never happened.
I've seen a few of his competition entry videos. Legit pk. Randi simply kept pushing it until he found an ability that the participant didn't have and claimed that all of their previous demonstrations were fake. That's no scientific method, that's a rigid belief system with no scientific base whatsoever.

Well Challenging him would be a good idea to introduce some people to the world of PK.. whether randi approves it or not.. The new comers would have been caught in the PK addiction already o_O which is good.. more PKers.. More Psionic research.. right?

Great video! I don't think Randi will reply. He's notorious for not accepting challenges. We should all get together and make him levitate until he sticks to the ceiling of his lab. He couldn't deny it then. lol
I heard a year or so ago, he ended his challenge because no one in the time the offer stood met the challenge, so he took it down. You might not want to quote me on that, but i did run across a book a few weeks ago that listed challenges like his, and they mentioned how he put an end to it.
As for James Randi himself, i have mentioned a few times how i am not a fan. Mostly because of the shoddy debunking he does. He likes to replicate a single feat with illusion which then blanket-debunks the rest. I can't say i hate skeptics though. They may inadvertently be the reason we push so hard.
Have fun!

I don't mind skeptics, but I don't worry about proving anything to them either. I guess I feel that there is nothing wrong with asking honest questions; that's how we learn. If the questions are honest it's cool. If the questions are weighted with dogma & hostility, then I basically tune them out. Randi seems necessarily mean spirited. What makes him an authority I should kowtow to?
If I'm honest, I don't have any doubts about the reality of PK. I guess I'm only interested in skeptics who's questions I think might make me stronger, lol:)

Some people need to learn whats trully scientific and whats not.
I was watching Myth Busters, and they said that Ninja fighters in ancient china, weren;t able to catch arrows without knowing it is coming for them, especially mutlible arrows at once and it is just a myth.
They put ONE person, to demonstrate his Ninja Abilities, and he failed the experiment.
Now, keep in mind that the situation 1. Is not real fighting, 2. I don;t think that person was ever trained to catch arrows, 3. Nobody knows what the mind and the body is capable of doing unless they are in real life threatening situations!
So, for me, Myth Busters for example reminds me of Randi, he claims he is using scientific evidence to disproof PK, but does he?
The worst part is that teenagers watch their videos and they totally fall of their "scientific methods", as well as for Penn and Teller!
True scientific method of proving and disproving needs years of experiment and daily observation! Daily! NOT just a single moment of one person!
If there will be an experiment of people like us, who wants to do Pk, and we were be in daily observation, I believe that the results would be positive of Pk phenomenon.

Those videos were pretty good. It is very sad that they demoted him. His findings were clear, his tests were correct and thorough. If nothing else, they deserved a healthy second look by his colleagues. But, it seemed that it's not that his colleagues actually found fault in his findings, but more over, they didn't want to accept the results as possible, so before it got any further, they nit-picked it repeatedly to soothe their panic, got others who felt the same together, and sat around tearing it apart and patting each other on the back as comfort.
I'm willing to bet that those in the video who tried to poke holes in Jahn's findings never took more then a passing glance at his experiments and results. Only enough so to find the faintest of flaws as to fabricate it into an Achilles Heel and say "AHA!" and like Jenga, to watch something built up to proverbially fall.
Interestingly enough, the videos reminded me something else of late i ran into that runs along the same vein. I couldn't help but draw some comparisons as it has been on my mind lately. It is a book online (I guess) that goes on to explain how Evolution isn't real. This at first intrigued, as i wondered what they had to say as a rebuttal, but they did bring up one good point that made me think. Science's aim is to remove all notions of God from our thinking. They go on to explain it like science is actually a war on God. Sadly enough, it fits very well, too well for me to shrug off, though it's extreme seems iffy.
Here is a link if anyone is interested in reading more about it. I haven't read through it all, so i am only going off of what i have read so far.
lol, I forgot to subscribe and I didn't saw your reply for few days, anyway, very interesting video, and it shows that apparently many scientists are cynics, not skeptics, to be a skeptic is good, to be a cynic is a curse!
