This girl whose been infatuated with me over the past month tried to kill herself this past Friday, after I told her I just wanted to be friends. What should I do? How should I feel?
It's not your obligation to submit to emotional blackmail man. If someone really wants to kill themselves, you honestly can't stop them, because you can't watch them 24/7, & why would you want to?
It's ok to have compassion enough to point her in the direction of professional help, but someone trying to kill themselves is about their own inner demons. Allow people who are trained in this area to help her man:)

i think what O12 said is true how ever i am going to be more blunt. either you tell her family or personly get here physical help or just ignore her and dont let her in you life. this is usely a skeem to control the situtation like some female will say there preganant. my friend had delt with this and it cost him his best friend freind ship. because the girls bf was his best friend and im not saying thats the situtation but woman who use sucide as a skeem to control others.
now if she did try to kill her self and she really is unstable then you need to explain to her she needs help and find a solution to get it. i think its a federal law if you no some one who will commit sucide its you duty to find them help. how ever i could be wrong. the main point is you need to think before you act. i hope i did not offend any one or steped on any ones toes but it is important to think before you act when a sucidal person is in thoughts

Well apparently she tried to kill herself. I mean she's in the hospital now under watch. I talked to her friend on the phone. I wasn't even mean to her and she seemed fine the night I dropped her off. My friend said she was using emotional blackmail, like owl said.
just get out of the situation man it can in no become functional at all. and i agreed with O12 but i was stating that its way worse then you think. ive been around this situation before.

I do agree with Owltwelve and Grengoshi, yet i also disagree. I mean, i would try to solve the problem. Usually problems are created by others. So all you got to do, is try to get her to talk, and not ask her too personal questions at first (would cause instant block to person, won't talk.). The usual mistake people do is try to reason 'not to kill' instead of listening why she even is trying to kill. Trust is like a big tower made of blocks, and if you place blocks too fast, it collapses. ;)
It's up to you, Ascension. If you decide to not help, and she succeeds and suicide, some parts of you start to think, that you could have helped her. Yet going deeper to the problem and failing usually hurts more.

but another problem could be cause through minpulation alar. i have found during my small life on this planet there are some people who constantly try to drain others by emotional assult. i do not know this woman yes but i have found this in my personal life. but then again i am human and i amd never 100% right so it falls down to him and how he takes it.
