I have a question for you guys. I have been experimenting with different Binaural beat tracks for a few years off and on I think the first I came across was I-Doser and then a brain wave program that came with a book Robert Bruce wrote on actral projection. I know there has been some talk on the fourm about Binaural Beats and I have talked to Owl about them a bit but I was wondering if anyone has ever used a light and sound machine? More specifically used the glasses that come with one to increase the effectiveness of the Binaural Beat tracks.
There are several light and sound machines available but they are more expensive than I would like to buy just to try something out. They all come with preset programs for concentration and relaxation etc. I assume the sound that is played is similar to Binaural Beats but it is the glasses that I am curious about. You wear them and with your eyes closed they lights flash and they are bright enough to see behind your eyelids. It is suppose to help getting your brain in the correct frequency to experience the effect I guess.
I just found a light and sound machine on ebay for pretty cheap and wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with them before I put a bid in. It said that it is usable with mp3 players which would mean (I assume) it would work with Binaural Beats on my iPod. I have a few apps for that as well as some on my music playlist. I am currently downloading an I-Doser app and another app bundle of Binaural Beats that allow you to isolate the beat itself or add it to an ambient track for listening.
I really wish they would make an app for ipod that allowed the screen to act as the light and sound machine's glasses do and flash to achieve the same effect. I guess you could place the iPod over your eyes when you are laying down lol.
Anyway just wondering what you guys think. Do you think the glasses would make Binaural Beats more effective even if they are used with tracks that were not programed into the light and sound machine?

If you don't have a history of epilepsy, light flashing does lead to deeper entrainment for most people. I have never tried the glasses, but neuro programmer software, does come with apps which allow your computer monitor to provide the flashing frequency. I works pretty well:)

No history of epilepsy thankfully. I did not know that about the computer software that flashes like that. Can it be set to flash in sync with the beats? I will have to look that up.
Yes, I use it sometimes. It also allows you to set the color & brightness of the flashing, or use preset visual patterns. Unfortunately, the save feature, doesn't allow you to save the screen flashing. However, if you have audio strobe glasses; you can ad that to the save:)

HI All, I have couple of those machines. Yes, they take me very deeper with in 10 to 15 minutes. So many time I observe session has ended and I am not aware. I do not know if I fall in sleep or in altered consciousness state. Also, I feel the difference in mental state whole day the day I use the machine ( Possible they are giving same effect what mediators are getting).
