The reason why pictures seems to capture visual paranormal phenomenoms that we canīt see directly (My theory)

I've always got intrigued as how pictures captured some wierd supernatural things that we couldnīt see even if looking directly at it, as orbs and other things. And I got a theory. The human eye have a biological limitation when it comes to observing things. For example, when it comes to motion pictures, like movies and games. Our eyes canīt notice any diference if the video is beyond 30 frames per second (Iīm not sure if its exactly this number but I think you are getting what I mean). We canīt directly "notice" something if it passes faster than our eyes and brain can recieve and process the image. While pictures, do not have this limitation. There is no way of telling the exact duration of a picture, like, 1 second or 0,00001 second and etc. etc. Its an exact moment "frozen" in time. Maybe the reason why we canīt see some things and pictures can, is because they appear and desappear SO fast that our brain canīt process the image in time, while a picture is depicting an exact, perfect and extremely minimal instant in time. What do you guys think about that?

But the movement of moving your hand wouldnīt be fast enough to make your brain not seeing it. This trail of the hand your talking about is motion blur, thats not exactly the thing Iīm refering too. What Iīm saying is, as using real life is too complicated to explain, for example in video games. I just reseached here, and they say that 60FPS is the limit the human brain can notice diference in movement. So, if you made a video at 61FPS, 1 FPS would go unnoticed. Its like this subliminal message theory, that people put some images in commercials SO SO fast that you arenīt actually able to see it. Iīm pretty sure the human brain has a limit when it comes to FPS, the same way each animals have a diferent pattern of vision, and their brain process colors diferently. What I mean is, something happens SO fast that we canīt notice it, but a picture would. One example in real life that just came to my mind: we canīt see a bullet flying through the air after being shot, because its too fast. But a camera shooting with the right timing, can. See what I mean?

Good subject.

Although it's often quite short, there is always shutter speed. I wonder if ghosts would also appear on shutter speeds close to 1 or 2 seconds.

One idea is that there's a filter, which is usually configured to match that of the society. To log, but forget everything that goes unexplained by the rational mind. A part of this filter, there could be the sample rate and averaging of the eyes (which would remove objects moving too fast or too slow). Well, that's just my theory.

I think people have just blocked off the ability to see paranormals. I mean, i see orbs and other entities (and they creep the hell out of me), and so do other people. Also i believe aura viewing can help to see them.

I have to disagree with your theory on brain not recognizing the difference between frame rates. For instance, move your hand and you will see the trail where it was, to where it moved. If you train your brain to keep those images for longer time, you can see em. Also, when you usually see something, try to "record" it, then re-watch it, trying to see new details that you didn't see before. Great way to train your eyes and brain ;)

That's a good idea Sussch, i will try taking a few photos and see if i could get something on it.

I still disagree lol. That's because i believe this limit can be broken, and it has already.

You can't prove that everyone is the same. biggrin
We all see the world differently, and have trained certain skills to help that.
