lol lots of ethical questions raised like are some humans really inherently evil? Or is it a result of brain trauma?

Inherently might be a bit strong. Some can be evil though. Just as meditation can change the structure of the brain, perhaps evil acts can do the same?

Or it could just be trauma...

Well I must say that I don´t see how rapist cannot be seen as evil lol.
These kind of scientific findings makes me sad, cause it shows how we aren´t so much in control of our lives and ourselves as we hoped for. The more they study, the more it seems we're just organic robots. I think thats one of the things that makes PK even more attractive, because its the place where no matter how your brain is or your genetic make-up is, you and only you are in control of it. Anyway, if this finding shows up to be really true and that this would really influence alot whether someone will or not murder and rape, I think its valid to do this test on the entire population and start to isolate those who match up this brain configuration from the rest of the population. Another option would be to try to see if its possible to determine if the person is going to be like this before birth, through genetic analisys of the ovaries and sperms of the parents, and weed out those. I guess thats the point where Eugenics could really be helpful to the world.

Yeah thats Ok dude I respect fully your opinion. And yes, this is just some study, its not a certain thing yet so we cannot know the extention of this. But I mean, if in the future they discovered that people with that dark patch in the brain are EXTREMELY, but really EXTREMELY likely to commit horrible crimes, like, 90% up, unfortunatly I think that the more reasonable thing to do to protect the majority of the population would be resorting to mandatory tests and eugenics. Some times we have to take a step back to take two forward after. I think its a valid use of eugenics, as you are protecting many people from terrible fates. The only (and big?) problem that would come with using eugenics for some reason, even a very valid one like this, is that probably people would start wanting to use it more and more for many other things, till it reaches out of control.

That 'IS' their stance on the world. So no matter what the find, it will always have the trappings of a mechanistic model of the world. Their reductionists, they only see us as meat machines, so that is they will portray their findings. To them, this world is one big happy accident.

I'm not entirely sure if I would like the idea of these kinds of tests being mandatorily performed on the populus. First it would be a huge invasion of privacy. Second we can't guarantee that this will only be used to weed out the evil, assuming that there is a line that is reasonable in which they would stop. Put another way, this test may be abused to weed out those who would also oppose the very people performing and controlling the tests themselves.

Also, we can't be certain that these black blotches from the scans are A.) definitive proof of the presence of evil, and B.) that these spots are present from the time of birth (which I doubt).

Eugenics is a subject that scares the hell out of me. Think Resident Evil as one potential example. But Eugenics is about weeding out the imperfections of people to make a perfect human. This is foolish to me, as I think, 90%, if not more of what is considered faulty, or junk, by eugenicists, is merely misunderstood. We are already finding out that junk DNA and information, isn't Junk after all.

I think in the end, if eugenics had their way, people would be people anymore, and we would infact become robots.

Just my opinion though. :)

To me it seems that these scientific findings show how well astral and physical blend together.

Stuff doesn't become attached, unless there are receptors for it. In order for a patch like that to appear, there has to be a proper mental environment to allow it / manifest it. From this perspective, we have perfect control, too much even. Too much control might be why these things happen in the first place.

Also it's real nice how you can change your present "avatar" and see your past change according to the design.

well this is just my opinion and i have no evidence to back this up but i really think that the love you receive when you are young has a really POWERFULL effect on you. in one of this documentaries david wilckson said that science has proven tjat emotions literally change the dna structure! so think about. holywood usually streotypes criminals,rapists,etc with people that have had life problems in the past. so just imagine how a child that gets abused by his parents must feel. he probably wouldn't feel loved for days,months ,years! this may even lead to problems in the molecular structure of the brain. sorry for spelling im on my phone
