On the television show 'Stan Lee's superhumans' , a Mentalist called "Guy Bavli" was able to perform Telekinesis , at the end of the show they tested him with an EEG while moving a pen , The results showed a spike of high frequency Gamma waves. The person who arranged the experiments was a guy called Dr. Brod , He wrote a detailed article on this research which I quoted below.
When the History Channel asked me to look at the brain waves of a mentalist I didnt have much interest. Back when I was in psychiatric training Uri Geller was at the Stanford Research Institute demonstrating New Physics and mind-over-matter with mental spoon-bending. In the intervening years, Uri Geller and his spoon bending was supposedly debunked as just a magician and his tricks. But the producer was persistent, saying had a mentalist who seemed adept, and they just wanted to see what was happening to the brain waves of this man at the moment he seems to be moving things with his mind; if we could monitor him, they would not mind what we demonstratedor not.
I asked Bill Scott, who was working out of my office at the time, if he was willing to join me in this project. It happened that he was using a new protocol that can look at EEG frequencies in a very precise way and was eager to demonstrate its utility. And so we met with the team from the History Channels Stan Lees Superhumans and mentalist Guy Bavli. Bavli demonstrated a number of tricks which had me gasping but I kept telling myself that he is a professional magician. I did not expect what we found.
For the data collection, we chose one demonstration moving a pen in a glass without touching it. (You can see a video of a similar event on line. The segment filmed in my office has not run yet, but should run soon and I will post a link when available). For technical reasons, Bill took EEG data from the pre-frontal (forehead) areas on both sides. Bill processed the data, and we took a look at it the following morning.
Bill and I were surprised to see an indication that when the pen moved there was a massive shift in the gamma region of the EEG only on the left side. Later, we analyzed the data more carefully and noted that at the same time there was even more elevation in the theta region of the EEG. We believe that the gamma elevation is more impressive because, technically, these are much smaller wave forms that tend to rarely spike as high as we observed.
These are interesting findings which in no way prove that Guy Bavli moved the pen with mental force alone. But we did demonstrate that there were very unusual EEG findings occurring simultaneously with pen movement that we could not account for. This seemed like something we should report to the scientific community for further study and validation. I wrote up the findings and we presented a Poster at the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research this past September.
(Here is the full report made by Dr. Brod)
So it appears that the left frontal lobe Is activated during Telekinesis.
I believe that mainstream scientists has not yet discovered the connection between the brain and our body's electric field , Even though there have been studies done proven that our electric field is caused by synchronized discharges In our Central Nervous system (CNS) , It's still a mystery why mainstream scientists avoid this topic , probably because they want to avoid the Idea of Pseudoscience or something.
anyway thanks for reading , I will make another post explaining the intensity of electrical current needed to perform Psychokinesis.

Great post! I'd love to get a setup like the one here (http://www.openbci.com/) if it proves useful. To get real-time updates on what is happening during PK or any kind of meditation would be fantastic.

Ordered Emotiv Insight with EEG firmware. Also quite expensive and doesn't have that many EEG channels. However, it's one of the few commercial devices that doesn't need a saline solution.
A while ago I thought about building one myself, but DIY R&D always tends to eat up even more money (and time) than commercial ones.
I wonder if the same about the left frontal lobe activity would also apply for left-handed people. Or for people with balanced lobes.

Hi Sussch , That's an Interesting question I also thought about , the Asymmetrical gamma activity is quite puzzling , Though there has been an EEG done on a Qiqong student who also performed Gamma waves after he induced himself in a trance/ Altered state , the results showed him going from Delta (lowest brainwaves) all the way up to the fastest Gamma.
The EEG showed that he used both sides of his brain while in that state.

@ Sussch: I only just ran across Emotiv today which is funny you'd mention it. I had been eyeballing the Muse that can be paired with an iphone or android but my problem is that it's not real time. You only get to see the results at the end which isn't terribly helpful. The nice part about the Muse is that it's fairly cheap and has 5 sensors (channels?). I'm too lazy to look again to find out. :P I was really fascinated with OpenBCI because it appears that a larger number of sensors can be added for cheaper. I could be wrong. I'm often wrong. lol. How well has the Emotiv worked for you? Do you get real time updates?
EDIT: I found this link to an open source raw data capture program called OpenVibe. It may help if anyone is looking for a cheaper solution for hardware and software support.

So far it seems it's not that easy to get a good connection, which reminds me that I haven't had a haircut for about a year. Once an okay connection is established, it's a challenge to calibrate and train the actions.
I guess that for raw EEG access, one would have to upgrade the SDK license or something. It should also be possible to use the alternative open-source SDK "emokit". Haven't tried any of those yet.
Edit: The whole thing makes the crown quite active, though.

Awesome! Keep working at it and give us some feedback. I got a chance to use a friend's Muse and it was a pain to work with too. I think it's to be expected with today's technology. My main pain point was the distraction it created by simply wearing it. Not something you could use for hours on end.

I will order my emotiv headset on Tuesday; cant wait to use it. I also have an oculus rift dk2, & unity3D. Unity3D has plugins for both pieces of hardware, so I can start making a VR psi training environment. My goal is measure myself at peak psi performance levels & make those states the targets for the VR environment psi goals. There are a few psi skills that I can perform reliably & powerfully, it will be interesting.
Since Sussch, only has the emotiv for now; I will try to optimize the game for both VR & a normal monitor:)
