Psychokinesis

I read online about how Reiki isn't taught in a usual way, but rather through a process called "attunement", where the teacher basically directly gives you the ability somehow. To me, this sounds like an easy way into the world of psychic abilities; something that can show me I can do it with little effort on my part. Exactly what I was hoping to find. And reading about what it does, it sounds like it could potentially help unlock other abilities too. Yes, I know I'll still need to put in a lot of effort at least after the process if nothing else, to get good, but it would be nice if that attunement process could enable someone else to first show me I can in fact do it, in a way that removes all doubt. Then when I do put in that effort, I'll be nothing but excited to do it, without any niggling doubt.

But, I figure there's some catch to it, where it's not as simple as it sounds, because I'm pretty sure a few people here have specifically told me there aren't any shortcuts like that. Though I guess it's always possible they might have never heard of this or something, unlikely as that seems. So what's the catch? Or would it be worth it for me to go find someone to do this?

I'm certainly open to putting in the work, but if this is in fact a shortcut that will show me and motivate me, as well as make it easier to learn things, then as long as it's reasonably safe, then it seems like a no-brainer.
