Sight through closed eyelids

Who of you can see through closed eyelids (or even from any point of view, perhaps even 360 deg) 24/7 or on will?

I suspect that it's a partial OBE (critical mass of consciousness extending out of the body enough to see the surroundings).

For me it used to happen more frequently almost 10 years ago, it still happens sometimes but recently it has been more rare.

I can, pretty much at will. I mean that when in a trance it's very clear, & I can go into theta trance at will, but it takes 5-15 minutes depending. I can also do it faster while in alpha trance, but the picture is fuzzier, & I tend to second guess myself more:)

Have you perhaps also seen the grid / matrix of light?

For me it has sometimes accompanied the sight through closed eyelids. If I remember correctly, this grid of light has been visible both with the eyes closed as well as the eyes open .. though, it tends to fade away some time after opening the eyes (as I wake up completely).

I have on occasion when in the point between sleep and awake and I have wondered if my brain is using my other senses including em sensitivity to compile the image.

Shirak, are you referring to the light grid that Sussch, mentioned? It's really interesting; lights haven't been my experience as much, so I enjoy hearing perspectives different from mine:)

Well, actually I'm learning to read with eyes closed... this is the sheet of paper that I'm currently practicing with.

Sheets of paper for practicing seeing with closed eyes

Still trying to outline the shapes with the tip of the finger. Half the time I can see blurry stuff like if I was in a dense fog and the other half I get the idea of having a knowledge of what it is.

Still have to drop the feeling part and focus more on the seeing part to get it right, but it's slow... I've been at it for almost two weeks now and still can't see an entire shape at once, only partial curved lines or diagonal straight lines or corners... that kind of stuff.

I'd really like to know how you guys see... if it's in full color, if you see things moving, etc.

For me it's all black and white. Duhhh, I know black shapes on a white paper doesn't help... but I seem to see it in negative... like the shapes are white and everything else is black, most of the time. Oh, and my finger is also white while I'm scanning around throughout the entire page.

I've had a couple of instances where I saw my finger dark against a white background and I also saw dark figures against a white background and while most of the time I just see the thick lines of the figures I was once also able to clearly see even those thin horizontal lines from the sheet of paper itself and with the correct color.

That was the only time I was focused enough to see crystal clear.

It kinda reminds me of the skill required to look at stereograms where one has to cross the eyes just right in order to see 3 dimensional images with perception of depth and volume on a flat picture.

Volume and depth perception in 3 dimensions using flat pictures

Even a very subtle and very delicate loss of balance or focus and the vision goes puff, bye bye.

Practice, practice, practice, I suppose.

But, yeah, that's the way I see things after over a week at it... kinda like trying to make things out in a thick fog.

Mostly deductive work...

If I see a diagonal straight like I usually deduct it's a triangle even without seeing the whole triangle. A curved line means it's a circle, etc, etc.

Would really enjoy to hear how it is for you guys...

I mean, I'm really enjoying it...

I know this is just the basic bare bones skill, but there's a lot of spin offs this thing can be twisted into after getting the foundation right.

For example, mixing it with concept of space and time, means one can see things at any point of space or time.

Even for entertainment yesterday while searching for videos on the subject came across this test:

And I could clearly see the numbers before they were shown on the screen one after another, after another just by pointing at the screen with my finger like what I've been doing with that sheet of paper...

You know, the first one I saw I still remember seeing two curved lines above each other kinda like the right side of an uppercase letter B, but if it's a number, it can only be number 3, obviously. Other times it was the knowledge without the vision.

And is kinda like that for me right now, crawling around, trying to give my first steps.

Mind you, it still sends the shivers down my spine when what happened finally sinks in and I go wowwwwwwwww and start asking what the heck is happening to me and that kind of stuff, but ultimatly it is utterly, completely and absolutely cool beyond belief.

Hey, we're only newbs once, gotta enjoy it now cause tomorrow it's probably gonna be like: "mehhh, whatever, nothing special, it's as normal as seeing with eyes open".

I mean, kids really do enjoy it.

C'mon guys share a little bit more, like owltwelve, about how it is for you and how do you experience it and came about it. I definitely would really appreciate to find like minded people.

Hi Utoo, I see through closed eyelids in color, but it tend to be a hyper focused tunnel vision. I mean that the peripheral vision is usually fuzzy, but the point of focus is higher resolution than normal vision.

I always had this ability but developed it as a reliable skill with concentration practice. Also, what really pushed it over the edge was a software I use called neuroprogrammer 3. You can make binaural beats with it, but the cool part is that it's paired with screen flashing on your monitor at the same frequencies as the beats. Screen flashing has been show to entraining people into trance states more quickly. When paired with sound; it's basically an enhanced ganzfield setup.

Eventually I got to were I was familiar enough with the mind state to access it freely. I would often practice on the fly, by trying to see the color of cars around corners in exact order of 3 - 4 cars. Once I cot good at that; I realized that it meant that I could see through solid objects. So, I tested myself a lot, & got people I trusted to test me, so that I would keep myself honest. I found as you say that spacetime is no barrier either. I could see what coworkers were wearing to work or what they were eating for breakfast. I would put what I saw in a sealed envelope & reveal it to them later. I basically came to the conclusion that seeing through closed eyelids was basically on the OBE scale, & that I could choose whether to leave things at clairvoyance essentially, or push it into a full OBE if I wanted. I've also, found that as with all concentration based skills; your skills go dull from lack of use.No matter how good you get at it; you have to keep doing it to stay sharp & access the skill quickly:)

i am becoming more sensitive to doing this, wen i meditate for long periods i have to put a pillow over my eyes because i think i accidently opened my eyes through meditation but in reality i am seeing through my eye lids. oooor i am seeing past my body.

*seeing past your body

You can pay attention to where you're seeing things from.
You can also try looking around from various angles (like looking at your back / neck which would be a bit difficult just through the eyelids).

I look at my back all the time. It's usually one of the first signs during meditation that I am in the phase/on the OBE scale. Sometimes it actually happens before the normal transparent eyelids:)

Just watched that video, thanks as it made me dig deeper and discover a lot of things.

There are many programs teaching this:

  • The Force In You by Alexander Krakolinig
  • Infinite Child Institute / Infinite Light Vision by Lee Degani
  • Inspiring Children Universally by Karen Osborne
  • Info Vision by Mark Komissarov
  • Vibra Vision
  • Markah Putih
  • Nikolay Denisov
  • Matrixvissen
  • Bronnikov method
  • Seeing Without Eyes

and on, and on, and on,...

They're a dime a dozen, it seems... some people are actually pushing to teach this in elementary schools.

Anyways, some people have the eyes open under the mask, others project their energy or project light from a flashlight, while others see sideways or upward or even backwards, go figure.

I had complete and absolutely no idea about any of that.

At first I had to figure out by myself where I was looking at by waving my finger around and then putting there the things I wanted to see.

I assume my "perspective" or "beam" or "window" can be moved at will at some point but I still haven't figured out how to do that just yet.

Just tried for the first time using a flashlight and saw correct colors and dimensions on the sheet of paper. Go figure, using a flashlight.

I just improvised using a sleeping mask with a thin piece of wire to shape it better to the nose bridge since that's usually where a little bit of clarity manages to creep in.

Sleeping mask with thin wire to adjust to nose bridge

Later maybe I'll spray paint some diving goggles because those provide a much better seal all around the eyes.

Utoo and Skepti2psychic. Try these. I have a pair and they work wonders because my eyelashes don't hit the mask.

I just happened to be blind for about a week.

Disregarding the pain, lack of sleep and other less enjoyable "features", it provided good motivation and time for practice.
An excerpt from the blog post (clicky).

While it did work occasionally, and sometimes it worked beyond my expectations, there were also cases when it did not work or worked but did not produce any useful results. Quite often, the skill provided at least some persistence between quick glances of the surroundings.

Some observations:

  1. With the point of view being from a random place (and sometimes changed between consecutive attempts), it was sometimes difficult to assess the distance to objects (and grab them with my hand).
  2. Sometimes the view was not aligned to the body (I was standing at an angle to what I saw). This got me really confused and I managed to get lost in my own room.
  3. Sometimes I saw things morph around or look different from how they were in reality. For example, I saw my feet stretched out when in reality they were not.
  4. A sudden change from a dark room to a well lit room dispelled the skill. Things seemed to have worked better in dark rooms and hallways, but maybe also because of the signals from the physical eyes confusing the brain.
  5. Regardless of how clear and detailed was the vision, I did not see all objects. In particular, I think I mostly saw objects which I had interacted with the most. For example, I could see my mug and a box of cookies on the kitchen table but completely miss the bag of cat's biscuits right behind the mug.
  6. Sometimes I saw light shining through gaps or cracks which I would have found difficult to see with my regular eyes because of it being really faint.
  7. In some places I saw some kind of glowing objects. One such object was attached to a corner of the blanket. I could only see it with my eyes closed but not with any of my eyes open.

Based on some other experiments with consciousness and its features, several of the issues with clairvoyance seem to stem from using a very powerful tool without properly configuring it first. Seeing with one's eyes closed is a rather simple use case for conscious shaping of one's consciousness density function.

Edit: Forgot something important. A couple of cases which I personally found interesting.

After applying eye drops (in a tiny bottle), I tried to put the bottle back to its place. In doing so, I used my left arm in a somewhat inconvenient pose (horizontally beyond my head which was on the other side of the back of a chair). Once I accidentally dropped the bottle. I managed to catch it before it reached the floor, without seeing it. And even if I had somehow seen it, I would have probably still missed it because of the inconvenient pose of my arm which would have messed up the whole motorics coordination. However, somehow such a feat was possible.

Once I was trying to reach a tissue on the floor. I had not paid any attention to where I had left it, so I was somewhat surprised to see (with my eyes closed) that it was far away from the others. Without opening my eyes I picked it up and it was actually there.

That's really cool Sussch. It sounds like you're doing better so that's good. :) I've experienced some similar things but I cannot recall what specifically. Catching something without seeing it is one I've done on occasion.
