Same here, though I have seen my body laying there. The tricky thing is, that OBEs are so thought responsive, it's possible some people manifest the cord they expect to see; I am not really sure.

Anyway, since I live in NYC, I may check out  one of their classes. I'm hoping that my girlfriend will learn more easily from others thn she can from me:)

I'm still alive and training, especially OBE now.

I came across this on FB and thought maybe you guys would like to help her out. I'd volunteer but i've still yet to experience an OBE.

"Greetings!!


My name is Heather Schwenn and I am currently recruiting participants for my dissertation study which will allow me to complete my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at Sofia University in Palo Alto, California. My study is on the phenomenological features and long-term after effects of Out-of-Body Experiences.
This study consists of a survey that will take about an hour of your time and all of the research materials being used are based on the "normal" population unlike most studies in this field which use measures that are based on a psychiatric population. In no way will this study pathologize the participant or the experience.
I need between 100-150 participants who have had: at least one OBE, the first or only OBE would have had to occur at least one year prior to participating in this study, the individual is at least 18 years old and the participant speaks English as a first language . If you are interested in helping me out with this project or you know anyone who fits these qualifications, please pass on this information!!

I recently achieved spinning my psiwheel underglass, just a week ago i believe. :) Special thanks again to shirak for having started me on this path and given me my initial guidance with his book. I'll be reading up on a lot of this OBE section's posts to see what i can gather to help me get there sooner. I'm training with my uncle who's become a psion too now. The world really does seem to be going through an awakening phase..

can someone help me get a start to OBE training? i have done astral projection before but is there more? im not sure on seraching on the internet as freely as i was before, i have grown to trust this community more with knowledge =)

I like how Rich2150x describes different techniques for OBE:

It's good to read a lot on and watch a lot of videos on OBE, in order to become inspired subconsciously.

As with any other pursuit in life; set priorities & allot time depending on how much going out of body matters to you. You can train train more efficiently as well, depending on your needs.

If for instance, you can be satisfied with a conscious OBE adventure, a few times a month, then all you need do is keep a dream journal, & practice the wake back to bed method every other night. If you want to be able to get out of body frequently & perhaps from the waking state, you should integrate development of minds eye lucidity into every area of your life. Even for someone with a busy schedule there are extended periods of low mental responsibility, such as when you are waiting in a line at the post office etc.. At every such opportunity imagine yourself in a second body, interacting with the world, making it as real for yourself as possible. The truth is that you are always out of body & just need a shift in attention. Usually, people require the relaxation of sleep to allow this shift of attention to happen, but can do it consciously with daily practice. When you begin making progress with this imagination method, you may experience a sort of bi-location, or what people used to call traveling clairvoyance. This stage is good enough to have fun, & also develop telepathy & PK further, but full OBE from here only requires deeper attention on the 2nd body. The confidence which daily practice provides will help you. All of this only requires daily practice during spare moments. Where ever you are, constantly imagine yourself touching objects, or people around you & see how it develops. Be careful with people though:)

If you want to master OBEs, pick an object, & practice concentration with it daily:)
